Refund & Cancellation Policy

Fair, fast and free of fine print. If we miss a committed timeline, you get your professional fee back automatically.

This policy explains when and how you can cancel a service or claim a refund on KanoonPe (operated by KanoonPe Technologies Pvt Ltd). It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Our Refund Promise

We price transparently and stand behind our timelines. If KanoonPe or the assigned professional fails to deliver what we committed to, you should not have to pay for it. This policy is designed to be simple and honoured without you having to chase us.

2. Filed-on-Time-or-Refund SLA

Every order ships with a written service-level commitment stating the date by which we will complete the steps within our control. If we miss that committed timeline for reasons attributable to KanoonPe or the professional, we automatically refund the professional fee for that service.

Unlike many incumbents, there is no three-month waiting period and no fine print. The refund is triggered by the missed commitment itself. The only time excluded from the SLA clock is time spent waiting on (a) information, documents or approvals from you, and (b) government or third-party processing that is outside our control (see Section 3).

3. Government Fees

Government fees, statutory charges and stamp duty are billed at actuals and are paid directly to the relevant authority on your behalf. Once these amounts have been paid to a government authority, they are non-refundable, because KanoonPe cannot recover them. The Filed-on-Time-or-Refund SLA applies to the professional fee, not to government charges.

4. Cancellation Before Work Begins

If you cancel before the assigned professional has started work on your order, you receive a full refund of the professional fee. Any government fees not yet paid to an authority are also refunded.

5. Cancellation After Work Begins

If you cancel after work has begun, we refund the professional fee on a pro-rata basis, reflecting the work already completed (for example, document review, drafting or partial filing). Government fees already paid to an authority are non-refundable. We will share a simple breakdown of any pro-rata deduction.

6. Subscription Cancellation

Subscription and compliance plans can be cancelled at any time — there is no lock-in. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle, and you will not be charged for the next cycle. We do not refund the current cycle's fee for services already delivered, but you keep access for the period you have paid for.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or cancellation, email hello@kanoon.online from your registered email, or raise a request from your dashboard, quoting your order number. SLA-based refunds are processed automatically; you do not need to ask.

8. Refund Timelines

Approved refunds are credited to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. The exact time it appears in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.
